Craig Snyder is Managing Partner at IKON Public Affairs. With nearly 30 years in public affairs and political communication, Snyder is one of the nation’s leading lobbyists and political campaign consultants. Snyder helped found IKON in 1997 after serving as Chief of Staff to United States Senator Arlen Specter.

Snyder’s career has spanned nearly every facet of public affairs – a candidate for the United States Congress in 1992, Deputy Campaign Chairman for Senator Specter’s 1996 candidacy for the GOP Presidential nomination, Public Policy Specialist with the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, United States Senate staffer with a “Top Secret” security clearance, and as a political consultant who wins races and awards for effective advertising.

Snyder’s lobbying practice has brought huge victories on behalf of diverse clients. As Senior Lobbyist for Autism Speaks (the nation’s largest advocacy group on behalf of Americans with autism) Snyder lead the legislative efforts which resulted in the Children’s Health Act of 2000 and the Combating Autism Act of 2006. His appropriations work has produced federal funds for clients in defense, transportation, education, healthcare, agriculture, arts and culture, and other areas.

Snyder graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1983 with a degree in Ethics and Political Economy and received his law degree from Temple University in 1988.

Kevin Roy is a Principal at IKON Public Affairs, having brought to the firm a breadth of experience ranging from senior staffer on Capitol Hill to international accounting and consulting firm professional.  This wide-ranging experience allows Kevin to advise clients on their federal affairs with the perspective of one who has managed both federal and private sector concerns.

Prior to joining IKON in January 2007, Kevin spent six and a half years in the Washington office of U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, most recently as Director of Appropriations.  With this issue portfolio, Kevin was frequently the primary point of contact for innovative energy and biotechnology companies seeking to partner with the federal government.  Kevin devised strategies to integrate private sector capabilities with the needs of the federal government from legislative proposal to executive branch implementation.  This experience informs Kevin’s approach to helping IKON’s clients succeed with their federal policy or budgetary initiatives.

Kevin received his B.A. in History from Dickinson College, where he won the Myers Senior Prize for academic excellence by a varsity athlete.  Kevin also studied Accounting as part of Deloitte & Touche’s program for Liberal Arts undergraduates at Babson College’s Olin Graduate School of Business.  He lives in the Annapolis, MD area with his wife Kimberly and their two children.

Corrin Merritt is IKON Public Affairs’ multitasking administrator. Serving as both office and accounts manager, Corrin directs our headquarters office in Washington and assists our professional staff in all aspects of client service.
 
With responsibility for accounts payable and receivable, Corrin has frequent contact with IKON clients, vendors and subcontractors to ensure the orderly and efficient management of the firm.

A native of Wheaton, MD, Corrin attended the University of Maryland at College Park where she was a member of the National Collegiate Honor Society. She currently lives in Leesburg, VA with her husband Andy.

Scott Hoeflich, a Senior Associate at IKON, joined the team in January 2011 after having served since 2006 as Sen. Specter’s chief of staff, overseeing a staff of nearly 80 in seven offices in Washington and throughout Pennsylvania and a budget in excess of $3m. Hoeflich worked on a variety of high-profile Pennsylvania issues, including resolving a dispute between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Philadelphia Housing Authority, bringing the Delaware River Dredging Project to fruition, and the site selection of a new courthouse in Harrisburg.

He also oversaw efforts involving the Senator’s role as Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and of the Appropriations subcommittee that oversees all federal spending on health care and education.

Hoeflich joined Sen. Specter’s office in 1999 as an intern, and progressed through a series of positions, including Communications Director, to become Chief of Staff one week after his 27th birthday. Hoeflich is a 1998 graduate of the Harrisburg Academy and a 2002 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College.

David Rice is a Senior Associate at Ikon. He was most recently with Mylan Inc., the third largest generics and specialty pharmaceutical company in the world, where he was Senior Director of North America Government Relations. He was directly responsible for federal, state and provincial government relations in both the United States and Canada and managed a staff of six. Issues for which David was responsible included: The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act; generic biologics; authorized generics; patent settlements; generic drug user fees; Mylan's HIV/AIDS and ARV franchise in the U.S.; and, legislative and policy issues specific to EpiPen® Auto-Injector.

In his eight years at Mylan David sat on Mylan’s North America Leadership Team; served as an alternate board member and Chair of the Government Affairs Committee to the Generic Pharmaceutical Association (GPhA); and, represented the company with various organizations including the National Governors Association, the Republican Governors Association, the Democrat Governors Association and other government and political groups.

Prior to joining Mylan David was the Western PA Political Director for the Mike Fisher for Governor Campaign in 2002. He also worked in Harrisburg for Mike Fisher in both the Office of Attorney General and in the Pennsylvania State Senate. David also did government relations work for the Port Authority of Allegheny County.

David graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA with a degree in Political Science in 1991. He lives in the Pittsburgh suburb of Upper St. Clair with his wife, Hope, and three children: David, Reagan and Jackson. He is active in numerous local community organizations and coaches lacrosse in the spring and summer.
